When people leave us a gift in their will, they help us support the residents of Carlisle and North Cumbria in times of suffering and distress when endangered by accidents or natural hazards. We are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Our voluntary team works tirelessly across our local community, delivering a fully trained, self-funded search and rescue team, who work in partnership with local emergency services. Whilst our team give their time freely, the costs of delivering this service are significant, and any donations received are used for vehicles, specialist equipment, specialist clothing, training, vehicle maintenance, fuel, or insurance. Alternatively, donations can be gifted to specific aspects of the team.
Inspired by Storm Desmond, our charity was officially founded in 2019 and we have worked with countless families, as well as countless schools and community groups throughout Carlisle and North Cumbria since then. By leaving us a gift in your Will, you'll help ensure our search and rescue team, and its outreach and community education programme, continues long into the future.
If you would like more information about gifts in wills please contact your solicitor and let them know you would like to add North Cumbria Search and Rescue to your beneficiaries in whatever way is appropriate.
We are incredibly grateful to all our supporters for all their support, and thank you so much for considering leaving us a legacy in your will.
